Rational recently upgraded their flagship SelfCookingCenter, saying that it is now more energy efficient. That’s because of the integration of some key elements. These include the triple pane glass cooking cabinet door, the energy meter, and LED lighting.
According to a company statement, Rational’s R&D teams have made every effort to reduce the energy consumption of the SelfCookingCenter. The company states further that they hope to encourage operators to think carefully about usage with their new features.
The cabinet now boasts of a special coating that reflects heat. Ultimately, this will minimise heat losses through the door significantly. In comparison to its predecessor, this is able to lessen the overall energy consumption by up to 10%.
As for the glass pane, you can open the ones on the SelfCookingCenter. Basically, this promotes easy maintenance as well. Rational says that the panes don’t restrict the full insulating effect. Actually, you can feel this when the outer pane of the oven hardly heats up. That means that you can touch it without fear of being burned.
Another feature that contributes to the energy saving is the LED lighting which you can find in the interior of the cooking cabinet, as well as on the door itself. Apart from ensuring optimal lighting up to the rear corners of the cabinet, these lights are quite durable as well. Plus, they are low maintenance, too.
In addition, there’s an energy meter that will display the energy consumption. You can monitor your overall energy consumption according to individual cooking processes. If that won’t do, you can do so at the end of the day or the week. You can view this via the control panel. Not to mention that you can even download the data and process it on a PC. This will allow you to monitor the increase or decrease during your operations.
