The Garden Oven Company, a British enterprise that pride themselves of traditional taste of wood-fired cooking, recently announced the release of a new oven that is specifically designed for al fresco cooking. Also known for the environment-friendliness of their products, this new model promises to deliver their trademark wood fire and smoked taste that are usually achieved in outdoor cooking.
Called the Model 2 Garden Oven, it is larger than their previous release: the Model 1 unit. Armed with a baking area that is 50 per cent larger, the former can cook two pizzas at the same time. Here’s what Jay Larson, owner of The Garden Oven Company has to say about the said cooking equipment: “Our Model 1 oven is incredibly popular, but we’ve created the Model 2 Garden Oven that allows even more culinary options. The Model 2 has an additional layer of high insulation between bricks and the steel walls, and it holds even better for slow cooking. Just like the Model 1, we’ve incorporated an adjustable height baking shelf and rack for ease of use. The Model 2 is designed with pub garden cooking in mind.”
Both the Model 1 as well as the Model 2 were designed in the United Kingdom and are intended for year-round cooking, minus the hassle. Plus, with its multi-function oven, chefs and even ordinary individuals can bake, cook, smoke, grill, and roast a wide range of cuisines that may include pizza, fish, bread, meat, and so on. Furthermore, unlike conventional brick ovens, these Garden Oven units are transportable and do not require building tasks.
To add, Larson is enthusiastic of the idea of having the Garden Oven made locally in the United Kingdom. “I think that we move goods too much around the planet. Yet having the resources available to design and manufacture products locally can be critical,” he said regarding this matter.
