Last September, Samsung unveiled a European edition of their intelligent Family Hub fridge. Now, just recently, the multinational manufacturer releases the price for this version. According to them, the basic model costs £2,999.99 ($4858.78), while the multi-door model gets a higher price at £4,499.99 ($7288.18).
Well, having this hefty price tag is not surprising at all. As we’ve mentioned in our previous write-up, consumers who are eyeing for this unit can expect it to be really expensive similar to its American version. And besides, we all know that it isn’t just your average refrigerator. It is indeed jam-packed with a host of smart and unique features. The most noteworthy one, though, is its 21.5 inch HD LCD display that somehow serves as a “digital command centre”. You can use this to leave notes for your family members, update your calendars, and even pin photos.
Not only that, this Samsung work of art helps you manage your grocery items, too. Inside, there are three cameras that take images of your food products every time the door closes. You can then get to see these photos and what’s in your fridge through the Samsung Smart Home app. This application is available for both Android and iOS devices.
“The kitchen has ways been the heart of the home and so we are delighted to have developed a premium appliances which enhances the way we live our lives, helping to connect families and make juggling family needs that little bit easier,” said Nick Bevan, Samsung’s Head of Domestic Appliances in the UK, during the announcement. “Whether you want to bring your kitchen to life with movies and music, coordinate with the whole family using one central calendar or discover recipes and more efficiently manage your household groceries, the Family Hub refrigerator is the ultimate hub for your home,” he added.
Interested consumers or commercial kitchen owners can purchase the European edition of the Family Hub fridge in Samsung online store and selected retailers.
