Review: Abp CGU-8000 Non-Stress Dough Divider
Abp CGU-8000 Dough Divider: The Introduction
Putting up a small bakery is not as simple as it may seem. Because aside from preparing your capital, you also need to shop for the equipment that you will be needing in your kitchen. These include ovens, moulders, rollers, and bread slicers. But perhaps the most vital of them that you should never overlook is the dough divider. Generally, dough dividers only have a simple function. And that’s to portion the dough into equal pieces at the speeds that you require.
Now, there are different models and makes of this essential bakery equipment on the market today. Choosing which one of them to purchase could actually be a tough decision to make, so let me just share with you those that are “the best” in the class. I’ll start with something from Abp: the CGU-8000 Dough Divider.
Abp CGU-8000 Dough Divider: Key Features
The Abp CGU-8000 is one of the most user-friendly and versatile dough dividers that we have ever tested. What I personally loved about it is that it allowed us to match it with a variety of product applications. We were even able to couple it with a moulder and had used it as a general weighing and cutting machine. Not only that, this bakery equipment also brings this heavy-duty construction that I truly adore. This allows it to withstand the rigors of the kitchen environment and endure the harsh operating conditions.
Although the CGU-8000 is built to be rugged and to endure countless applications, it’s amazing that it can still gently cut and weigh dough without breaking them. Upon testing, the unit was able to accurately produce up to 8000 pieces of dough in an hour. This is actually outstanding results for such a small equipment.
Basically, the CGU-8000 is almost similar to Abp’s CGU-4000. The only difference is that the latter can make a conservative 3,600 consistent dough pieces in an hour. Both of them, though, are very easy to set up to accommodate different sizes. We just had to change the housing, the mandrill, and the belt, and that’s it. It took us only a couple of minutes to complete.
In terms of design, the CGU-8000 doesn’t have much to brag about. It doesn’t have an elegant look nor ergonomic switches. But, it has this space-saving design that I really love. This allows you to house it in busy kitchens or within outlets with limited space while eliminating the need to expand. Additionally, it has a durable stainless steel body as well, which is very impressive. Even all of the components that come into contact with the dough are stainless steel. This, then, ensures ease of cleaning and better hygiene conditions.

Abp CGU-8000 Dough Divider: The Verdict
Summing it all up, the ABP CGU-8000 dough divider is a practical inclusion in your start-up bakery. For me, one if its most noteworthy features is its space-saving design. This makes it perfect for those businesses with limited spaces and for those with busy kitchens. Its efficiency is a great advantage as well. As mentioned earlier, although bringing a compact construction, the unit is still capable of gently slicing up to 8000 dough pieces in an hour without damaging them. It just lacks in some ergonomic aspects, but I’m sure, your bakery will benefit from this high-performance CGU-8000.
